I’ve long thought that patriotism isn’t a flag hanging in the front yard, or how loud you can belt out the national anthem. It’s how much you desire that your country is successful, for all its inhabitants.
Ever since ‘little Johnny Howard’ allowed Ozzies to fully embrace their potential for dickheadedness, I’ve felt that we too are heading in the same direction as the yanks.
My interpretation of the philosophy of the ‘Right’ is…
Me first, then my family, then mates, then people that look and or act like me, Everybody else is a resource there for me to exploit. This attitude is inherently ‘unpatriotic’.
