Some ideas on a touch pad interface for 'in cam' editing of footage.


The panel sits under the screen. The cam is orientated in 'review mode,' and the user slides a finger tip across the panel surface.
Three soft-buttons are marked out along the top of the pad. The labels for each buttons function are displayed along the bottom edge of the LCD screen.

• Start with finger on middle soft-button and describing a circular motion scrubs through footage
• Stroke down the centre line to cut footage at that point.
• Centre left discards footage on left back into the bin, centre right removes footage on right.
• Drawing an 'X' deletes clips permanently.
