Covid 19 : Day 7 of lock-down two: Arts and crafts
During last year's country wide level four lock-down, I was passing the time by making furniture out of pallets (click here to read about it…)
This year's lock-down has been extended till at least this Friday, so I’m returning to finish pieces, which have been lurking out in the backyard since last year.
I cleaned up some of the edges on the low table and applied the gas torch to the surface for a Japanese inspired shou sugi ban finish.

Once I’ve formed a charcoal crust on the wood, I scour it off with a brush attachment on my drill.
Next up, I attacked the two seater chair.
Today I also got some more of my driveway edging installed.
And positioned a water collection tank on it’s sandy plinth in the back yard.
